Work Scope
This project entails the urgent rehabilitation of critical infrastructure within the Duruojije community and surrounding areas in Mbaitoli L.G.A., Imo State. The primary objective is to address severe pavement failures, deep gully erosion, and waterlogged sections that have rendered the internal roads impassable for vehicular traffic.
The intervention includes, but is not limited to: Site Clearance and Earthworks involving the removal of debris, unsuitable materials, and silt from the affected road corridors; Scarification and Filling which entails breaking down failed sections and filling with approved lateritic materials or stone base to stabilize the sub-grade; Drainage Restoration focused on de-silting existing drains and constructing new reinforced concrete culverts or line drains to ensure proper water discharge and prevent future washouts; Pavement Reinforcement consisting of the application of base courses and surfacing such as priming and asphaltic concrete or surface dressing to provide a durable, all-weather motorable surface; and Erosion Control through the implementation of stone pitching or gabion structures in high-slope areas to protect the road shoulders from further degradation.
